Free shirt tech pack template
Woven shirts are measured differently from knits: collar length, collar band, cuffs and placket all need numbers, and fusing decides how crisp they look. This template starts you with those points and trims instead of a T-shirt spec.

What a factory needs for a woven shirt
Fabric
Weave (poplin, Oxford, twill), yarn count, GSM and width. Woven fabric is ordered in metres, not kilograms.
Collar and cuffs
Collar length, point length, band height, cuff height, and the fusing used in each.
Buttons
Size (e.g. 18L front, 14L collar), material, colour, number and spacing of buttonholes.
Seams
Flat-felled or overlocked side seams, single-needle top stitching and stitches per inch (often 14–16).

Common mistakes
- No fusing spec, so collars come back soft or bubble after washing.
- Button spacing not stated, leaving a gap at the chest.
- Using knit tolerances: wovens need tighter ones on collar and cuffs.
Questions
- Why are collar measurements so important?
- Collar length decides whether the shirt buttons at the neck. A 1 cm error makes it unwearable buttoned up.
